Kia Motor has unveiled a new electric compact SUV concept called the 2026 Kia EV3. This concept borrows its styling theme from the brand’s all-new production, the Kia EV9 electric three-row crossover. The manufacturer still needs to confirm the production version of the new EV3.

The electric compact SUV is promoting sustainability in the interior with a centre console made from Kia’s mycelium, a fungus-based material that will be grown in a mould. Because Kia Motors has not yet confirmed production plans, there is no specific information about the propulsion system or driving range of the new EV3.

But we expect it to be based on the same lines as Kia’s other EV models. Debuting in the upcoming Kia EV3, it uses the E-GMP platform with a front-mounted motor producing 200 horsepower and an AWD version rumoured to have 300 horsepower. 2026 Kia EV3 Interior

There are no specific details available about the interior of the Kia EV3 at this time. Still, we expect the production of 2026 EV3 to look a lot like the concept version on the outside, and we believe its interior will be quite different.

The new EV3’s instrument panel will equipped with a series of air jets in place of traditional HVAC vents. The concept features a rear bench seat that folds up like the original Honda Fit, which should enable a bike or scooter to fit comfortably inside.

Additionally, the concept’s centre console is made of mycelium, a fungus-based material; there is no indication of whether this is feasible for production. The most likely item to be carried into production will be the extensive use of fabric coverings in the cabin.
